CIHUATAN is the first rum of El Salvador, in the heart of Cihuatán valley, where the only distillery in the country operates.

The name “Cinabrio” was inspired by the color red which the ancient Maya used to make out of cinnabar (or ”cinabrio” in Spanish). Red was the sacred color of Kinich Ahau, Mayan god of the sun. ​
